you mean bestbuy.com on your title, right?

anyway, good deal! thanx.

BTW, it says any of the 2 rebates cannot be combined with any other rebate.:disgust:

You need to edit the title, bestbuy.com and buy.com are two very different companies.
Good deal though, unfortunately when I try to order it I get "Error On Page".

Anyone else having the same problem?

Ooops good catch, I've fixed it, thanks. I can order it no problems using IE, although I stopped short of actually buying it. Try a different browser, or perhaps you need to create an account and login first?. I just got a Sony with the same specs last month - for the cost of tax, with a PM and $20 off coupon at Staples. It would be really nice if BB had any $10 off coupons........

I look at it this way: for $10, as long as it actually works, how could it be bad? But for reference, Roxio Easy CD 5 supports this drive.

Probably not a Lite-On drive - a guess based on the following description:

SEAMLESS LINK buffer underrun error prevention technology

Lite-On based drives are usually described with "Burn Proof" in their description.

Sorry, now there is a javascript error. I tried calling to speak to a salesweasel about it, but they are "experiencing high call volume", 'cause no one has anything better to do than call them Xmas night.

I bought one of those for the wifes computer on the after thanksgiving day sale.

Came with Nero 5.0. So far seems to work ok, haven't done anything very unusual though just data backups and music cd's.

Still, for 10 bucks....

Eww....it's an Acer/BenQ Drive. They don't get the best reviews.

Of course for the price (after rebate), who cares if it works. :)

It now shows the standard selected "Deliver" button, and says "Available for pickup at most stores", under the "Pickup" section.

But I'll be glad to order it for you if you'd like, you pay me the $59.99, and I promise to fill out the mail in rebate with your name and address. Send cash only to "the shady guy", the corner of Mission Blvd and Grand, Pacific Beach, CA. Or you could email me, in plain text, your credit card, bank and password info, I'll take care of the rest. Did I mention that I'm Nigerian?

I've been trying to purchase this thing since this afternoon (on and off), and I've been having problems checking out because I keep getting the damn javascript errors that were mentioned before. Should I keep trying? I've tried it on various browsers and computers, and I keep getting the same errors. How are you guys having any luck with this, or am I just super unlucky?

I would suggest that hitting a B&M first thing tomorrow (or just after hitting Fry's?!?) might be the best bet of getting one of these. Perhaps it's just the perversity of the universe that I seem to be able to order one when I don't actually want to buy one. Or perhaps it's just that the guy who fixes broken links at Bestbuy.com took Xmas off, the rotten bastard!

I don't mind going to B&M tomorrow, but I don't know if you guys have noticed...

BB's flyer shows the drive as $19.99 AR (they're raising the price to $69.99 B&M instead of the $59.99 online), so I'm trying to buy it online to save $10. I've tried to get them to pricematch to their own site before, and it didn't work in the past, so I'm just trying to play it safe now...

Stupid website, why won't you work! :)

i got this same CDRW when it was $10 after rebate on black friday (day after thanksgiving)...it was the same layout as this one...$60 - $20 -$30 = $10...

The $20 was a BB rebate and the $30 was a Norcent rebate...i got the $20 rebate earlier this week from Best Buy...(same with the BFG Asylum GF4Ti4200 128MB $55 rebate)...that is like a 4 week period...lol didnt even hit the 6-8 week period :)...

I installed it fine, and apparently CloneCD says yes to everything in the drive information, except for the DVD related stuff.

Ive burnt fine with the CDRW already, at 48x, and slower (due to the junky cds im using)...
