I know there is another OD thread about the video but I didnt want to hijack because it had good conversation.


OfficeDepot has put the Sony 48X Cdrw USB 2.0 on nationwide clearance. I found one that was marked down from 89.99 to 79.99 (open box). I took it up to the register and had them scan it, scanned $59.04. He then gave me $10 off of that, so I got it for $49.99 and then a $20 MIR printed out.

49.04-20.00 = 29.04! (Leaving title at $39 because that is what it will ring up for)

SKU= 624979 (I think)
 
I am not sure I understand. Online it's marked for $149. How did you get it so low? through coupons or through promos in your area? please explain further.

I spent 4 hours or so on the phone calling the Office Depots in LA. Called 20 stores, and only 1 store had an open box and they were selling it for $69. Could you possibly scan your receipt so I could print it out and try for a price match or something? Thanks!
 
Just go in there and have them scan the box, it will ring up 59.04 then ask for some more off because it was open box. Mine was still marked 79.99!

You put in the work, but when you call and IF the sales person (or his buddy) checks their system for the item and pricing, you just lose out on the deal.

so if you're calling store by store you've got to be LUCKY to get one. I've experienced overhearing them talk about hold the last few items for themselves and coming back to the phone to say SORRY, last one was already sold earlier that day.🙁

YMMV of course. but I hope you didn't alert the sales staff in my small corner of LA
