48X & 32x Burners on Clearance at Officemax

LOL....best damned comedy of all time!!

I picked up the Cendyne USB 2.0 48/12/40 external CD-RW at the Murfreesboro, TN for $29.99 out the door. There's a $30 rebate on the Cendyne...but who cares? $30 for a fairly decent USB 2.0...not a bad deal!

They also had the 48x Cendyne Internal drives for $20...bah. Gimme USB 2.0 baby!

Were any of the internal burners black? I am trying to get the beige units out of my new Altec Sonata, but to remain cheap about it. Any other Hot Deals on black burners or DVD players?

Btw, Polaroid was/is in Chap11, and doesn't sell/support their burners anymore, and some people have had quality problems with them too. But $30-40 for a USB 2.0 enclosure isn't too bad.

That is not true. Quit re-broadcasting lies like this in the forum. I bought a Polaroid burner when they went on sale in OM and RMA'd it due to vibration problems at speeds above 40x. Is that support or not?

I went to all 3 of them North and South Academy and the one down by Tinseltown.

From what I was told there was a possiblity that the north store was supposed to get some in this past friday but I havent checked.


I think me and some friends got the last that were avialable at the OM here in town.
