$489 each when you buy two dimension 4550 with LCD

buying two 4550 together will make your total more than $749, and apply the $50 code will deduct additional $50 from each desktop, making it each $150 off total. This looks like a bug in Dell.com, so don't expect it last long.

This one is good for those who want to buy 4550 with lower than $749 in total each and can not apply the $50 off. if you have a friend who also want to buy one, buy them together can save you $100 in total

I tried it and it did take $50.00 off each system. Not sure how you got it down to $489.00 as I chose the baseline models with LCD upgrade and it was $1400+ - 100 each - 50 each = 1100+ /2 = 550+ not including tax.

Is your total including some sort of other coupon?

(I don't want a coupon, just curious about the deal)....

Thanks

Update: Nevermind...I discovered that it needs to be the Pentium 4 2.0 GHz model. Not bad...really not bad! 🙂

(Would be worth adding the 2.4GHz P4 533 not only for the additional speed there, but the 333 ram also! 🙂 )

Good Luck all! 🙂

Baseline configuration: P4 2.0GHz, 128M, 30G, basic audio. Free CDRW, 15 inch LCD.
it should get your $639*2-$100*2-$50*2=$489*2

if you have the dell email 5% or 10% , that can be applied on this order as additional deduction.

Yep...I was thinking that if you had the 10% coupon (no begging!), then you could have gotten these for $440 each with LCD, CDRW, and other goodies + tax. Nice adaptation of the original deal! 🙂

That's right, but considering those people are now asking for $30-$40 for 10% off coupon, it may not worth the hassle if you do not have one yourself.

yeah. ppl r selling them like hell.

Jeez, why not just put the link to where you found this deal instead of causing the annoying posts?

LINK REMOVED because you cannot post to sites with coupon codes.

AFAIK Greg03 doesn't work for, represent or benefit from XPBargains.com (who is a valued Anandtech Member).

I don't have anything to do with XP, but if I did so friggin' what?

There is nothing wrong with posting a link to a source that helps everyone. I see someone posting a cryptic post and just thought it would be helpful to point people in the direction of the original (or at least a less confusiong source).

I'd tell you to start a new thread to promote bitemyass.com, but I don't have any petty jealousy or a pet site I want to promote, so --- just bite my ass.

Grg03,

I found out this by ordering 4550 for my friends. It has nothing to do with the stupid website you mentioned. In fact I never visited the site you mentioned. So bite your ass yourself.

This from a man with 2 links to his OWN site in his sig

It's allowed, it just seems a little contradictory for you to be casting stones so freely.

(Damn, I've been a member here almost 2 years!?!? Where has the time and money gone?)

Laugh,

Thank you for pointing it out. this will be my last post on this.

Bagger,

I did start a new post when I wanted to post a deal. and I did not direct people to my own site claiming there is more detailed information. That's the difference here.

Greg03,

keep your mouth clean or PM me if you still want to argue. don't waste people's time here. I will not repond to your insulting publicly any more.

Everybody,

Sorry for having this off topic part.

Obviously there are several variations on this topic with the basic idea of exceeding $749 to get another $50 off.

For performance reasons I would opt for the 2.4GHz version with 533MHzFSB and 333MHz(PC2700) RAM though. That configuration's minmum price is 589x2=1178-2x50=539/PC. Personally I would add the GF4MX card for another $20/system.

Yo

I agree, PLUS Deals lisperer runs a site that has coupons, and has a link to that site in his sig.

I posted a link to XP without knowing that you are NOT allowed to post a link to a site that uses coupon codes that cannot be posted here. Mea Culpa, won't do it again. Check here for rules:

HERE

Now, knowing that you cannot post links to coupon codes, will deal lisperer change his signature as the consensus on the board feels that he is a hypocrite.

last time I checked, Anandtech allows users to put their own links on their sigs. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, you are both right and wrong. AT does allow links in sigs, but does not allow coupon codes in links, so go from there.
