Once you get the card, reply back to let us know what you got in the box. Ie. Everything or just the card and a cardboard box. Thanks!

Deactivated Item

looks like you won't be able to find out.

It's deactivated because OP bought it. There is normally just 1 open box item. So we'll find out, but it will serve no purpose, since there are no more of them.

The open box are not normally limited to 1 item. I suspect they wait till they have a few open box then list it. It wouldn't be worth the labor it costs to make the item page considering the margin on one open box vid card.

i would assume the people who work on the newegg website are staff members as opposed to a 3rd company maintaining it, since it is updated everyday. So i don't see why it would cost them extra to make a single page

It is mainly an opportunity cost issue, the people who put this up could have been working on something that earns newegg more money.

Very true. The open box page is the exact same as the "new item" page except it doesn't have reviews (which normally suck and are written by n00bs) and it says OPEN BOX.

$375.00 is quite a bit, just leaving it there since it doesn't qualify for new would be more wasteful than having them fill in a template for the product. At any rate, there is no way to tell how many open box items they have.

Add 22 of them to your cart?

It is all database driven, so all they have to do is add X quantity at Y price, and it automagically exists. As for quantities, it is all random. If the manufacturer returns a bunch, a bunch gets listed.

This is why I don't consider Newegg Open Box to be hot-deal worthy, because a Hot Deal is not a deal if nobody can get one besides the OP.

Just a suggestion for those looking to get a 4870 X2 - Microsoft is still offering their cashback thing on ebay (25% right now), so if you buy the card for the going price of ~$520, you'll get $130 back making it $390. While you do have to wait 60 days for the cashback, you can view your pending cashback online - it seems much, much better than a rebate.

Absolutely true. I did this to see how many open box EEEpc's newegg had and they had 3. When i put them all in my cart, the page disappeared.
