Greetings, I'm giving my wife my trusty good old 8800 GTS 640 and buy my self a new 4870x2 card.

The problem is that I'm not sure if I have enough Juice in my PSU unit.

My gear has the following components:

Gigabyte X38-Dq6
Intel E6850 overclocked to 3.7
4x1 GB kingston DDR2 1066MHz
4 Hard drives SATA
XFI sound card
LG DVD drive
and a ThermalTake Toughpower 700 watts

is that PSU enough to run this machine coupled with the 4870X2 ?

Please advice.

THX

Yeah it should be, but it only has 2x6pin pci-e connectors, the HD4870X2 requires a 6pin and an 8pin. I read that you can trick it into thinking a 6pin is an 8pin, or just use an adaptor.
