4870 spotted!

Over here at: http://www.pcvonline.com/productDetails.aspx?id=7245 is a Sapphire ATI HD4870.

What catch my eye is the specs they have listed..
SAPPHIRE VCX HD 4870 512M DDR5 LITE 850MHz/1050MHz/1940MHz core/shader/memory clock speeds, 27.2 GTexel/s (32 TMU x 0.85 GHz) fill-rate

Note 32 TMU, says "lite"?

Don't mind the picture, they have the same picture listed on their 4850 too.

Those specs are either false, or we're all in for yet another big surprise from Ati. BTW, that picture is definitely wrong, looks like a x1800xt.

It's legit, that site is known for posting wrong images all the time.

I've shopped there before. Although fairly ghetto, they have cheap prices on certain hardware and decent customer service.

EDIT: ALso, on GPUz shots of the 4850, it says it has 40 TMUs so why would this have less (provided GPUz is correct)?

that link to tom's also shows 40 tmus, plus I read in several reviews that it was actually 40 tmus instead of 32.

Once they start making non-reference cards they will have 1GB. I am actually going to hold out for the 1GB versions...I plan to have this card for a while so the 1GB should help the longevity. Anyway...check out THG china, they took one apart and list the specs...def not 850. Maybe it OCs to there but that is a massive OC with stock cooling.
