4870 1GB OC vs GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked Edition

I belive the first one you linked (the factory overclocked) actually uses a different, better cooler. It's the same cooler I have, but that is the 1GB version. From the temps I've seeing with the 'toxic' cooler I'd say it's worth the extra money. The highest temp I have yet seen at 820/4600 is 54C under load. I think the other cooler looks similar, but is not actually the 'toxic' vapor chamber cooler.

I have the second one. My temps are reasonable, approx. 56 in game, the fan never cranks up except at start up. I would think that it should easily reach the speeds of the other card. I'm running at 800/1000, most peoples cards I've seen run usually always at 1000 memory, and the core oc usually is around 780-800. I guess I'd save the money and get the cheaper variant. It does depend on your case also and how much air flow is around the card...

I have just edited my OP because now I can't decide between that 4870 and the evga 260 216 superclock.
