Man, you've posted a ton of threads regarding this upgrade of yours... :confused:

The 4850 is a little bit more powerful than the 9800gtx, but its cooling solution is not as good.

I personally would slap an accelero S1 on the 4850 and call it a day. Unlocked, it should clock higher than a stock 4870 and absolutely crush the 9800GTX.

Does your motherboard support SLI? If not, the 4850 is a total no-brainer for you. :beer:

accelero s1 is one of the nicest passive coolers ive seen. however, if u plan to push it hard, you mite consider an active cooler.
