Don't worry, only ~3 more weeks until AMD releases the next driver. Monthly driver updates rule!!!11!

I haven't had any serious problems with Dead Space. It's always started up just fine, and it runs well. For the record, I'm using 8.10 (FC2 hotfix drivers). What drivers are you on? Oh, and maybe give it a shot with CF off, just to see?

P.S. - the only graphical issues I've had with the game are that I can't apply any AA or vsync, but that seems to be happening to everyone.

I saw someone having the same problem, said it was their anti-virus. Disabled it or allowed the program and said it ran fine.
This game runs really well. Yea it isn't Crysis level gfx and it's mostly indoors, but when I can play at 2048x1536 at max settings and get 60+ fps with a g92 8800gts oc'd I'll take it.

Took some high res screens on the 1st level:

If he'd bought an Nvidia card he could be waiting 4-6 months instead. How would that be any better?

Nice screens. Nice to see that some new games still run well without SLI or Crossfire to prop up their framerates.

Starting i must say this is a wonderful wonderful game................

OMG it looks so good on a single 4850!!!!

This is how i resolved my proble "Starting with the vj8usa advice i disabled crossfire and unplugged my logitech joypad and usb drive along with the X-Fi Audio and thus switching from digital SPDIF to analog...and it works have been playing it for last hr or so. This game is great i have just two games which i overall like this and bioshock!!!!!! Dead space rocks!!
