Grrr ... want upgrade but Fermi is a month away, even if you're not interested it will force Ati to bring their "screw the consumer there's no competition" prices back down. Price changed to $109 - rebate
 
Funny the day this deal hit our receptionist asked if I knew anything about video cards 🙂 They picked it up to upgrade their 8600 card. They just play WoW on a 19" LCD, but just upgraded their CPU to 'make it better' but they were still not able to max out settings.

I love my 4890 I picked up at $125 with rebate/bing esp that I sold my 8800GTX for $225 😉 at the same time.
 
HOLY COW THIS THING IS SO AWESOME.

Overclocking via CCC sucks, causes my comp to lock up.
Used RivaTuner in conjunction with ATItool for overclocking,

got this to 730/1160, temps always below 60C. I do have a side fan blowing right where this card is, but man this is awesome, I was not expecting it to OC so far.
 
i had some problems with my games crashing, granted i expected it because i went from nvidia to ati. fan is alot louder, even at minimum settings, but it is about 10c cooler than my 8800gts. and i got 12504 on 3dmark06 (compared to 10567 on my 8800gts) so I think this was a worthy upgrade for 89 shipped.

fan is louder? mine is silent...
Sitting at 675/1050 right now and stable.
 
mine is loud as crap even at 32%. I cant get rivatuner to control fan speeds. I turn my pc off at night anyway so its not a big deal.
