Considering you havent isolated the issue. No. And from your last post about the issue (88C in Crysis 3) it seem you run at 4.4Ghz with multiple threads.

But you really dont seem serious. Considering you pretty much ignore everything posted.

Weird. Today after Crysis 3 max temp was 89c. Yesterday was 100C. Can somebody explain why?

-The room was cooler.
-You left the side of the case off
-You ran a stress test before playing your game yesterday

Tons of reasons. And there is no reason to RMA a CPU that is running perfectly fine.

I hesitated to mention this, but it sounds like you have bad airflow in your case. You might want to open a thread in Cases and Cooling, and the folks over there might be able to help you get better airflow in your case.

But, if you do, please listen to those that respond to your questions.

is everything you touch broken? I have never seen one person start so many threads about problems. at least this time its not one of your dozens of gpu threads. it seems like you buy something new literally every other week and have issues with it.

and for those that dont know, he has had multiple accounts on multiple forums because he gets perma banned all the time.

that said, buy a proper cpu cooler.

Agreed. These questions are somewhat embarrassing to bother a forum with and should be googled before a system is even built, as should having the common sense to use an aftermarket cooler from the start while building such a system.

It does not matter that the CPU is 89 degrees or 100 degrees, it's too hot regardless. The fluctuations are there because stock cooling is not adequate to cool the processor and thus you are more likely to see wild changes in temperature from relatively small changes in variables compared to if you had a more powerful cooler which would be more likely to produce smaller fluctuations.

It's like trying to cool a house with a central AC unit that's too small for the given square footage.. it might work some of the time, it might not, depending on temperature, humidity, wind speed, levels of sunshine, or whatever. It will probably be running close to full capacity even at ideal conditions.

Check to see if you've accidentally wrapped your computer case in a blanket or quilt. Also look for evidence of animals building nests inside the case to block airflow. There is this elusive animal called a dust bunny that can live inside the computer.

Given the OP's posting history why is anyone bothering with this. 11 different cards since joining, all with problems that he felt needed a RMA. Numerous threads about cpu temps. He really needs a console or a new hobby. He just got banned at Hard|Forums, I'm shocked. On a side note I've been using the stock cooler for my 4790 and the highest temps I've seen in FC4 and the Witcher 3 is 70.

I have a question . If on STOCK cooler i am getting 100c ( with closed case ) in crysis 3 can i rma just my cpu with box cooler?

Yep. You should probably RMA the motherboard as it might me helping misreport, the RAM in case they're radiating heat on to the CPU, the GPU in case it's causing an IRQ issue affecting temperature reporting, your hard drives because they might have a virus that reports your temperature high, and your computer case because it isn't helping with airflow.

Then, buy an XBox.

This had me rofl!

OP that's not normal, should average 70s under load, not 100! get a decent aftermarket cooler and end of story. Also, buy a tube of Arctic silver 5 or noctua's offering & use that thermal paste instead.

Or RMA the part between the computer & chair.^^

This is a beautiful thing.

LOL!
Stock cooler in these temps, sounds about right. Not sure what you expected on stock cooler playing crysis 3, in the winter maybe.

AnAnd love spammer's they'll make him member of the month.🙄

I have lost count on his his various forum names across multiple forums but his threads are easy to spot.
