Grow up, twodragons.

This is a somewhat interesting deal. These appear to all be films that have an expired copyright. I've bought some of these for $3-5 at stores like Musicland and Camelot.

Some of these films are classics, even making many serious film fans' lists of "all-time greatest":

Battleship Potemkin
Beat The Devil
Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
Carnival Of Souls
The General
Hiroshima Mon Amour
His Girl Friday
Meet John Doe
Nosferatu
One Eyed Jacks
Dressed To Kill

But you should be cautioned that these will generally be lousy quality prints, probably transferred straight from some scratchy 16mm film that's been playing in art houses for years and years.

I don't know about this one. I was in at the very beginning, when the InsideDVD subscriptions were free. I got a couple of these "movies", and the only one I ever tried to play, "Little Shop of Horrors" wouldn't play on any of my DVD players, including; Samsung 907, Samsung 515, Proscan 8680Z, Panasonic A-110, and Apex 500W.

Oh, and I don't mean the previews, commercials, and other junk on the other side of the DVD. That stuff plays fine. I'm only talking about the free "movie".

Plus, they showered me with SPAM and sold both my email and snailmail addys to anyone and everyone.

It may be an interesting deal but unless you've tried their stuff and it plays well on your machine, I would run, not walk, away from this deal.

I subscribed when it was just Total Movie magazine, and not with "InsideDVD". The short clips that come on the disks are great. The first one had the "COPs" parody "Troops" on it, and the rest were very good too. My subscription lapsed, and this is a good enough reason to renew it for me....

Thanks for posting this deal!:D

That right there is worth the subscription. Reefer Madness is a cult classic!

InsideDVD Rulez... I've gotten a few movies over the past 2 years from them... Yet I can still count the movies I got from them in 1 hand... I'll list them out for ya :) (BTW These were all free when I signed up at it first began, even before Total Movie Entertainment! The latest one I got was just last week!)

1. Infinite
2. Little Shop of Horrors
3. Scrooge(B/W)
4. Young Hearts Unlimited

cost to me: not a single penny, since I got in on this WAAAY early on(they were contemplating whether or not to charge 3 bucks each ship the dvds in the nice plastic DVD cases instead of the cheapo cardboard they used for the first few discs)! [the last 2 dvds I recieved were in the DVD cases so they're all good... plus the "Ad" side of the DVDs got rid of the bad actors/actresses that talked all about the features on the dvd] (I only missed out on 2 dvd mailings, unfortunatly, but the dvds before Infinite weren't too good)... I'm quite happy because I enjoyed Infinite, LSOH, and YHU... Infinite is about this smart guy that had helped invent the Nuke and his relationship with his sick wife, LSOH is of course, a classic little story, Scrooge I haven't bothered watching yet cuz it looks cheezy(I didn't watch LSOH for a month or so till cuz it was also b/w, and it didn't really shout "good movie"... glad i watched it tho, fun classic), and YHU is pretty good, its quite a "feel good movie" that shouts in the vain of disney-esque humor and fun...
