Could be part of evolution.

Those people who push for the HPV vaccination are more evolved than those who don't?

What if those who spurn the vaccine don't believe in evilution?

Their genectically lacking mutation will not go forward, essentially they die off.

Well this a thought, wouldn't we need a male vaccine to be administered to completely eradicate the disease's spread? Keeping both sexes safe from infection and transmission?

I dunno... is basic stupididty really the same as moral delusion?

i'm not saying the vaccine is bad. i'd want my daughter to get it too, absolutely. but all that to say, i'm not a carrier of the disease, and neither is my wife. a couple of sexually inexperienced adults who chose to wait till after marriage. not considered a virtue these days.

We understand, you're an abstainance proponant. And there's nothing wrong with that. But you've made your point. It's not that people don't consider folks like you to be virtuous... Its just that it doesn't happen very often. You're a great example. But you're not representative of the norm. Sorry.

Why should people consider it a virtue? Why should people hold you in a better light just because you chose a different sexual path than them? That's what gets me about you outspoken wait-until-marriage types, you think you're somehow better than people who don't.

LOL. I'll rephrase.

He's as bad as those people, rather than just like . 🙂

Better? No. Less disease ridden? Yes.

Better? No. Less disease ridden? Yes.

Only if you have less diseases.

BTW, herpes and HIV are really the only STDs that can't be treated, and don't clear up in their own.

Not to say I want any of these diseases, but when you think of a typical college skank time-line, by the time they're 28 years old and having kids, they're clean again.

Does the state pay for it if the parents can't? IIRC the whole immunization package for this is in the $800 range. It's worth it... but not everyone has the $800 I'm sure.
The CDC has a good FAQ page about the HPV vaccine that addresses these and other questions posed in this thread. A few answers from the page:
What about vaccinating males?
  • We do not yet know if the vaccine is effective in boys or men. Studies are now being done to find out if the vaccine works to prevent HPV infection and disease in males. When more information is available, this vaccine may be licensed and recommended for boys/men as well.
How much will the HPV vaccine cost?
  • The retail price of the vaccine is $120 per dose ($360 for full series).
Will the vaccine be covered by insurance plans?
  • Most insurance plans and managed care plans cover recommended vaccines. However, there may be a lag-time after a vaccine is recommended, before it is available and covered by health plans. While some insurance companies may cover the vaccine, others may not.
Check the link for their answers to all of these questions:
  1. What is the HPV vaccine?
  2. Who should get the HPV vaccine?
  3. Are there other HPV vaccines in development?
  4. How and when is the vaccine delivered?
  5. Is the HPV vaccine effective?
  6. Is the HPV vaccine safe?
  7. Does the vaccine contain thimerosal or mercury?
  8. How long does vaccine protection last? Will a booster shot be needed?
  9. Will girls/women be protected against HPV and related diseases, even if they don?t get all three doses?
  10. Does the vaccine protect against cervical cancer?
  11. How common is cervical cancer?
  12. Will the girls/women who have been vaccinated still need cervical cancer screening?
  13. Why is the vaccine only recommended for girls/women ages 9-26?
  14. Why is HPV vaccine recommended for girls 11 to 12 years of age?
  15. Should pregnant women be vaccinated?
  16. What about vaccinating males?
  17. Will my child be required to get the vaccine before she enters school?
  18. How much will the HPV vaccine cost?
  19. Will the vaccine be covered by insurance plans?
  20. How can I get the vaccine if I don?t have insurance?
  21. What is HPV?
  22. How common is HPV?
  23. Is HPV the same thing as HIV or herpes?
  24. Can HPV be treated?

Actually it's not killing off all gays now is it?

Many people seem to be resistant to the virus regardless whether they got it gay or straight.

Many poeple die from it whether they are gay or straight.

Evolution at work.
