45% of Americans think the Obama plan has a death panel provision... among other lies

Majorities in the poll believe the plans would give health insurance coverage to illegal immigrants; would lead to a government takeover of the health system; and would use taxpayer dollars to pay for women to have abortions ? all claims that nonpartisan fact-checkers say are untrue about the legislation that has emerged so far from Congress.

Forty-five percent think the reform proposals would allow the government to make decisions about when to stop providing medical care for the elderly. That also is untrue: The provision in the House legislation that critics have seized on ? raising the specter of ?death panels? or euthanasia ? would simply allow Medicare to pay doctors for end-of-life counseling, if the patient wishes.

Americans don't deserve a good healthcare plan at all. If they're so gullible as to actually believe this tripe, they can suffer the consequences for all i care. I really think it's time to consider dividing Blue states from Red states, this isn't working. Congratulations republicans, you've fucked us once again.

Oh ..... and I believe the Blue Dogs are to blame for much of your angst.

I have good health care. Why should I pay for government run health care when mine is fine as is? It could certainly be better but what else couldn't? Why should the government at any level be involved in what is rightfully a private enterprise?

Yeah, because the democratic voters are soooooo much fvcking smarter than the red, aren't they? I suppose if they did split off, the blue states would be so catastrophically overridden in debt they'd try to invade the red again looking for a respite :)

The ones a I claim??

How about Obama standing up and saying he does not want a one payer system followed by video of Obama coming out and say he does in fact want a one payer system.

You are foolish if you believe anything he says at this point since his earlier lies have already been exposed.

If you don't believe me watch this 17 second video and get back to me.

odd since federal tax dollars are more likely to be reinvested in some hellhole red state than a blue one.

Still waiting for you personally stop terrorism so forgive us if any of us here think you or your ilk will ever get off your asses and do ANYTHING you say you will. The recruiters office hasn't shut yet hollow man. Your WE shit is dead. You don't have the numbers and you are sadly mistaken if you think YOU are going to do anything but hide under your bed with your gun typing tough talk from your backlit keyboard.

Red states would go broke trying to run out anybody that wasn't white, or didn't contribute to a designated church.

I'm a moderate, and as much as I'm not a raving Obama fan, the truth is that:

Obama (while arrogant) = medical coverage for more people. Medical rationing is done via centralized government bureaucracy.

Conservatives = medical coverage only for white people, and/or rich corporations or insurance companies to ration medical services to people at their discretion and profit margin.

While I detest government bureaucracy, some degree of socialized medicine works for many countries outside the U.S. The current system we have basically rations health care on the basis of profit margins, which I find disgusting regardless of political affiliation. I don't know how you can declare yourself a human being and openly fight to restrict medical converage for people who can't pay for it. I suppose then you go to church to feel good about yourself.

So, it seems the real 'lies' about this are the fact that Conservatives aren't telling us what they really want, which is every aspect of your life controlled by shareholders and a CEO trying to make his bonus. They don't want their tax dollars going to black people or single moms, but they insist on lying about their true intentions.

At least the left-wing issue of this arguement admits what they are.

Glad you have a magical force field that protects you from loss of job, loss of benefits, and any increase in cost or negative change in those benefits.

Because you care about other americans? Because if you ever get laid off or get a "pre-existing condition" you will get screwed? Because we have no problem with wars, but never spend money on our own people? Because "prviate enterprise" is designed to cancel and deny coverage of your fellow americans so they can profit while we die?

In addition, 43 percent believe the protests have done more harm than good, versus a nearly identical 42 percent who say they?ve done more good than harm.

I think the protests have been a great thing. They've showed the true colors of the Republican corporate whores.

And now for some much needed debunking of Pro-Jo. You realize you don't have to immediately believe and post any position that sounds like something you want to hear, right?

In 2003 he said he supported it, and in the half decade since he has been pushing a plan very similar to what he's trying to put into place now, having time and time again that he supports it in principle but does not support implementing it in the US, for a pretty large amount of time before he ever set foot in the White House. The video and the point you are trying to make are extremely dishonest.

This is coming from a guy who very much wishes Obama were in support of a single payer health care plan, as it's the proven, effective solution. Unfortunately for all of us, he's not.

Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah
Phockus wasn't talking about Obama's alleged lies and unless you a real moron, and you aren't, there's no way you'd even think he was talking about those. WTF would you say that unless you wanted to divert the discussion from it's original topic?

I concur with the separation. It is the only viable method to avoid violence given the deep divide.
