4400+ or the Opteron 175

I am planing on building a new pc what cpu is better the 4400+ or the Opteron 175

are you going to overclock? the opteron is way better if your going to overclock. otherwise id say there about the same

i was in same position and decided to go with opty 175. apparently i got a really good stepping...just haven't had the time to OC yet

Save your self some money and get the Opteron 170. The 11x multiplyer isn't worth it IMO.

Or if you want to save yourself some more money, get the Operton 165 if your mobo can reach high HTT speed.

Please be a little more specific with your questions. At least tell us what you will be doing with the computer and what other components you will be using.
