Another update:
This is an good power supply for the money IMHO. It is made by Channel Well who also makes power supplies for Antec and Sparkle. This OEM power supply is made for TurboLink and after using it in my system the voltages have been consistent and strong and well within specs.

UPDATED:--------------
This is not the same as the Antec. No adjustable pots and clearly this thing is much lighter and it does have dual fans. It does say Turbolink on it. The insides don't look like the Antec. It does look like it uses some of the same parts and that white substance to stabilize the parts. The heatsinks are rather small.

It has 2 clear fans with a gold grill on the bottom fan.

I installed it and the voltages are excellent. My +3.3v is 3.38 and 5v is 5.10 and 12v is 12.33. I'm running 3 HD's, a DVD, CDRW and 3 fans. It looks like a decent PS to me but not an Antec. The voltages are very strong and the box claimes it has +3.3v remote sensing so maybe it adjusts the +3.3 automatically. For the price I'd say it's still a good PS.

CWT-420

This is the 400w+ power supply rebadged by Antec and Sparkle!

Thanks to 'todays' post below here's a review of it and they noted it was in fact an Antec.

<< As a matter of fact, the CWT-420 is the Antec PP412X! Or, to put things in a more logical context, the Antec power supply is a renamed CWT-420! >>

<< The Addtronics representative I dealt with advised me that Channel Well is the Antec OEM manufacturer. >>

I ordered mine and will recieve it monday.

I noticed at CompUSA the Antec 400W PS said CWT-420 on them.

AMD Recommended Power Supplies

Do a Search for CWT and you can see this is AMD recommended for an Athlon XP 2000

So this is the exact same power supply as the Antec pp412x but for under $50 shipped?!? If that is the case then this is a smoking deal.

EDIT: It seems that Channel Well is the OEM supplier for Antec, so this should have the same innards as the Antec pp412x but for 40% off the usual price...a pretty good discount for one of the best power supplies around.

The only downside is that I'm guessing there is no real warranty for the Channel Well.

FreakyGuy -

Does yours have the:

"Using the most recent processing technology requires +3.3V output, +5V AC-On Standby and Logic On/Off control. Smart Fan Feature (Thermal Controlled Variable Speed Fan). UPC #: 761345-23007-0."?

If so, I am all over this. I can finally order that Evercase w/o a PS and get the APM features I am looking for.

How loud is it? Defiinitely a HOT DEAL on a cool PS.

No it shold not be the same as the 403. It looks to be P4 compatible also. That would mean it should be the 412x. If this is the true, this could be warm up a bit.

You're right, the 412x would be even better. I may have to jump on this one. I just hope they didn't mislabel this and send out the 300W model instead.

OK I have the Antec PP412 powersupply. I have also seen the Antec PP403x. They both have only one fan. The power supply you mention has 2 fans, so I conclude it is not the same as the Antec. One of the good things about the Antec PP412 and PP403 is that they have adjustable pots that enable you to adjust the 5v and 3.3v lines.

Hey guys, not sure what I'm looking at here, but hot deal addict that I am, I ordered one!

Actually, I'm ramping up to build a new PC already...got involved with that Intel P4 1.6A Malay proc and Asus P4B266 mobo...and this gives me an excuse to keep spending $$ on that Lian-Li case.

Guess that "quiet" PC I really want will have to wait for next time!

Ok maybe ya'll can help me. I have a digital doctor in my Antec 282 w/ Antec 300 Watt PS (That came with the case). My digital doctor beeps like crazy sometimes when the 5 and 12v readouts on the front go nuts (or even turn off). Is this a bad PS?

Being that were talking about P.S.

I am building a 1900 XP and would like to know if my Antec 300 watt P.S. will be work with it?

The AMD site does not list the 300 watt; But list other 275 watt for same XP1900?

AMD 1900XP
Soyo Dragon+
1 CD rom
1 CD Burner
512 KingMax MEM

PS. Ordered the 420 watt just in case.

Edward,
I have another pc with a PP303 antec 300w supply and it works just fine with a setup exactly like yours. xp 1900, abit kr7, dvdrom, cdburner, and 2x256mb crucial ram. I was even able to overclock it a little successfully.

i'm currently running an 1800 xp, dragon+, dvd-rom, dvd-burner, cd-rw, 5 case fans, gforce3ti200, 768 crucial ddr 2100 & 1 80GB hard drive off the antec 300W that came with my sx830...i'm worried that i may be pushing the power supply a bit...especially since i want to add another hard drive or two....so i went ahead & ordered this one...if it comes i'll move my 300W antec over to my old dell since it only has a 200W PS

cover resulting from the exploding
capasitors on the board above.

3. Blown out fan, also a result of #1

4. Antec 300 watt power supply. The reason all

It will be a gift!

He has a Sony VIAO 200 now.
