Gonna go out on a limb here and say 36" CRT HDTV, provided you have the room for the beast. Picture quality is superior and until HDTV becomes standard, you can still watch normal braodcast TV on a TV with correct dimensions. On Widescreen the TV measures at about 32".

You can watch any HDTV with the correct dimensions for 3:2?

Yes, but the plasma is most succeptable to get burn in.Originally posted by: LikeLinus
Save up for a 50" Plasma. That's what I did.
I didn't get a DLP because it they just don't look as good as plasma. I realize this is personal opinion, but the viewing angles and the image just couldn't match the Plasma of a Panasonic.

Are you still living in sacramento, man?
If you're a costco member, you probably got that coupon book. In march, costco has 500 bucks off a scepter 1920x1080 lcd, or a vizio 42" hd plasma for 1500.
In feb, you can grab an RCA Scenium 50" DLP HDTV & Stand for 1500 or a 56" Sharp for 1800.
You can usually find the Syntax's from frys for like 1300 I think if you want the 37".
Also agreeing with Rossman on the westinghouse.

At this point, I wouldn't buy anything other than an HD set.

I assume that 1.5 ct ring only cost you 50 bucks after pricematch and 2k mail in rebate that you'll later bvg through amex, and the wedding will cost no more then a stick of gum, a rubberband with the reception serving 1.50 hot dog and sodas?
Deal!
