1. Submission of an application does not guarantee Seagate will provide you a free hard drive. By submitting your application, you are requesting that Seagate review your need to test and evaluate our product in your system/application. Based on Seagate?s review - you may be eligible for a free or reduced price drive/evaluation unit. Eligibility is determined in Seagate?s sole discretion.

2. To be eligible for an evaluation unit, applicant must at a minimum meet the following requirements:
a. applicant must have a valid reseller tax ID/certificate/permit, and
b. applicant?s primary business must be as a system integration or VAR developing a system/application suitable for using a Barracuda ATA IV disc drive. Such system/application must include hardware and software other than disc drive and must represent a significant enhancement to and transformation of disc drive.

3. Application must be received between 4/15/02 and 12 midnight PST 6/30/02.

4. This program is limited to while supplies last. Seagate will award a maximum of 100 free drives.

Just say you are a small Contractor and you use you Social Security number for Tax ID.

I do buy from time to time from local distributers. They charge me tax, but when I sell the drive I
discount the tax. My accountant does the rest. I am just too lazy to go and get a number it's easy
to get one.

Who knows it might work.

Kewl, finally my reseller account with them will pay off.... well it paid off a couple years ago when I got a 20gig Barracuda I drive for under a $100 which was a great price for the time!

I always get their info packets in the mail letting me know about all their new products and such. FInally this is gonna pay off! Wooohoo!
