I just want to say Outpost rocks! I ordered this deal on Friday at 4:00pm est and it was at my doorstep monday morning; that was with the free ground shipping via DHL; it was sent from Ohio and I live in FL... Haven't gotten a chance to take a look at it yet, just hope it's as solid as Outpost...

These are still available. They have disappeared from the Outpost website, but they can be ordered by calling 1-877-OUTPOST and asking for item #4587957. I called this morning and ordered one, then my wife (using a different address/phone number for rebate purposes) ordered one this afternoon. She told the rep. that the item wasn't on the website any longer, and the rep. was surprised -- said there were approximately 5,000 on hand. The rebate is good as long as it is purchased by 9/30. Free IS good (had to pay 2.00 + change for state sales tax). This is a great deal -- thanks OP!

Mine came this morning. Very nice, very similar to the 500W Ultra I got from RS a few weeks ago for $10 after rebate (asssuming Onrebate actually ever sends the rebate that is). Would love to pop the top and see if they are not indeed exactly the same on the inside, which I would guess they are.

Nice heavy supply for a .37 stamp, can't beat it. At the very least it will save a few bucks next time I get a case as I can buy one sans PS and always good to have an extra around for troubleshooting.

Thanks to the original poster for the heads up.

Yup, ordered mine in the afternoon on the 11th and I got it today, that's like a 24 hour turn over!

Called Outpost and ordered a power supply today but can't locate the rebat form on thier site.

Does anyone have the URL?

Thanks

OOPS found it on page one didn't look close enough

Thanks

Got mine at frys 3 weeks ago. Seems solid and is quiet but the disk pwr connectors are those sloppy ones that don't line up well and jam up when you try plugging in. Bad indicator for me. But it ran the 1st week fine so I left it in for my 2 week vacation. Appearantly it shut dowm within 2 days and dint pvr anything I wanted. Not sure what to blame yet but everything else looked ok. It rebooted after powering off at the back. so far I'm a bit leary.
Good news is they approved my rebate already.

Has anybody tried registering for the rebate online at onrebate.com? I haven't been able to receive the confirmation email.

I had the same problem. I couldn't continue my rebate until I was sent the confirmation code. I just emailed them and they got back to me the next day. Try one of these two addresses.
CustomerService@help.onrebate.com or rebatetrans@onrebate.com

My confirmation emails from the registration came a week after I did the initial registration. If you are having trouble like I did, send them an email. You will get the codes quicker.

I emailed both of those addresses along with the support email on thier site and didn't get a reply. I'm just going to snail-mail it and hope for the best.

***According to FW users, OnRebate is rejecting rebates on the grounds that the invoice Outpost is putting in the box with the PSU is not really an invoice but a "packing list." If that is the case, I will be getting my rejection letter soon too. Anyone hear from OnRebate who used the packaging invoice?

If that is the case, I swear I am going to *go off* on "OnRebate". The "packing list" contains everything they would need, just an excuse to get people to give up I would guess.

I'll tell ya, after hundreds and hundreds successful Staples Easy Rebates that went flawlessly I am almost scared to try anyone elses as they all seem to be out to screw people. Bastards!

I sent my paper work just yesterday, so I guess we will see huh?

And of course, I tried the expedited method for the extra $2.50 charge to see if it really does make a difference.

Big Thanks OP! In for one.
... but, I'm wondering the same!?

Just installed this PS the other day, and I *think* there may be something wrong with it. The fan is REALLY noisy when I first turn on the PC, then quiets way way down after running for a few minutes. Any time I even touch the case, the fan starts whining again.

I gotta figure out how to fix this. It's starting to drive me nuts.

I sent Outpost an email (replied to the notice I got when I purchased the PS) and asked them to send me a written confirmation of the order that would be acceptable for the rebate. They did -- and it looked just like the original message you get when they confirm the order. I would feel safe just sending that. The main point is --- don't send the packing slip that comes with the PS.
