Works fine, lifetime warranty is a good thing (when registered). Will power dual core P4s, but generates some noise while doing so. Other configs don't cause this whine.

Not really a repost since the earlier thread deal was dead. That rebate was good from 8-23-to 8-29, and offer # was UL-2647.

This one is good from 8-30 to 9-30, offer #UL-2710. So if you got in on the earlier one, you're still eligible for this rebate.

I will be using it with the pentium core 2 duo processor (i believe its the 6300). So i shouldn't have a problem?

There are no guarantees. Here is one review. There are others floating around. I bought this PSU and it is powering an old Sempron system without trouble. I'm not sure if I would trust it with new components that draw a lot of power, but it should tide you over until a good deal comes around on a good PSU, or until the burn from your upcoming/current computer purchase subsides.

I have been using this model to power a heavily o/c'ed Semperon rig that I built for my parents back in January. It hasn't had one hicup; voltage stays right on the money. The system has 1 gig of ram, 2 optical drives, 1 HD, 5 80mm fans and runs F@H 24/7. It will be upgraded to a A64 3700+ when it arrives tomorrow, and I don't expect it to have any trouble.

Has anybody tried registering for the rebate online at onrebate.com? I haven't been able to receive the confirmation email.

I ordered one. Can't beat free. No shipping charge for me.

I am running a Ultra V 500W I got from RS for $10 and it is working well and the power reads stable.

I have 3 other rebates in with OnRebate. They never have sent confirmation E-mails and only after I called did a guy E-mail the numbers to me.

Still shows they have my paperwork, but no checks sent out yet.

I may try the $3.50 fast option on this one since to see how that works I paid nothing for it in the end.

I'm using the X-finity 500w version on an AMD 3800+ X2. The voltages seem stable and it runs very quiet. Plus, if you register it you get a lifetime guarantee (3 years if you do nothing).

Edited for other stats - 2 gigs RAM, 2 optical drives, 1 HD, 4 case fans, GeForce 6300 video card, SB Audigy.

I had the same problem. I couldn't continue my rebate until I was sent the confirmation code. I just emailed them and they got back to me the next day. Try one of these two addresses.
CustomerService@help.onrebate.com or rebatetrans@onrebate.com

My confirmation emails from the registration came a week after I did the initial registration. If you are having trouble like I did, send them an email. You will get the codes quicker.
