Hey, just achieved my goal of 4000 :D

Unfortunately I have to tell you, that I quit Seti for some reasons. It has nothing to do with the community, I have always enjoyed being a member of the TeAm!!! Of course my units will remain with the TeAm and I want to thank everyone for their motivation and support through the last months.

Also I will stay a part of the forums, maybe not as much of the Distributed Computing as I have been, but I will have an eye on you all!!!

Good bye and keep this team rocking!

Congrats on achieving your goal :)

But it's always sad when someone quits :(

Everybody has to follow his own heart.

If you decide to run seti again sometime it's good
if you do not, it's you decision

We will be Right here

I bet you will find yourself coming back for a peek more often than you think. ;)

You have been a great member cnhoff and I will miss you. You know we will accept you back with cheering, open arms when you decide to return. So until then, take care and I'll see you around the forums. :)

But you're only 1000 away from your next certificate! ;)

I have to admit that I can understand deciding to quit. This is a hobby that takes a lot of time, and there aren't very many people on the street that can appreciate just what we do here.

Personally, I continue on because this is my way of keeping informed of what's going on in the PC industry, something necessary for my job. I can't believe how much I've learned in the last 2 years about memory architecture, processor efficiencies and so on. It really helps when customers come to me with questions about what kind of PC they should buy themselves. I always try to offer them the most performance for the buck, along with a system that suits their needs. Sales is so much more satisfying when you KNOW you're actually helping people.

Anyway, enough about that. I just felt like expressing why I "personally" feel that the Seti@Home project is a worthwhile hobby for "me".

I wish you well in all your future endeavours. :)

cnhoff,
Congrats, have a good time and enjoy!
I was planning on offering you a challenge when I got closer to you.
Maybe you will be ready to go again in a month or two.

cnhoff: Congrats on the milestone! :D Sorry to hear you're quitting the project though. :( Always sad to see a member leave but it's worse when it's a longtime member. We'll be here if you decide to return.

Farewell...
