4000 minutes on cell phone bill in 1 month

i was at a clients today and he's a bit upset, one of his employees and her son ran up a $600 cell phone bill.

here are some of the numbers.

he made / recieved 1620 calls in a 30 day period.

he was on the phone for almost 4000 minutes.

my client had given both his employee and her son a cell phone. he figured, he had a 1200 minute / month plan and that he and his wife were never using it.

so this moron of a kid (18 yrs old with a kid) abuses this privilege to the tune of 4000 minutes.

WTF was he thinking and HOW THE FVCK can anyone make 1600+ calls in one month?? that's like 8 calls per hour given a 10 hr day.

wow! 4000 minutes!? wow!

we have 1200 minutes shared and we never come close. but then again i do NOT use the phone unless i have to.

oh wow. i must say im impressed

that's what i said to my client after i calmed him down. you have to be impressed or at least somewhat staggered by the sheer numbers. shoot, you couldn't pay me enough to make 1600 phone calls in a month

My cell phone bill is usually about 200 bucks a month canadian. Thats because i'm on my dads corporate plan, and it's pretty inflexible. All of the minutes are in the wrong times (weekdays), and I'm usually on my phone on weeknights and weekends.

Jeez....two and a half minutes per call. What is so important to talk about?

I hate phones, cell or otherwise. If you need to contact me - EMAIL ME!! 🙂

Can you find the stats on the longest and shortest call times?

See... This is a prime example of those damn people driving while on the phone and going everywhere with that cellphone on talking no matter where they are, just abusing technology, they'd regret it if they were all swiped off the earth.

i looked thru the list of calls. not every call mind you, i have better things to do with my time. 🙂

but ya, there were a LOT of 1 minute calls.

It kinda averages out to about 130 min or over 2 hours a day on the phone. Knowing a few 16-18 year olds, it doesn't surprise me.

I would dock her pay and take away the phone.

I bet a lot of those 1-minute calls were maybe a minute or two apart, right?

And many to the same number/numbers, no doubt.

You think he was dealing?

Can he really dock the pay? He is the one that gave her the phone and though he didn't anticipate that, he can't punish her by docking her pay.
