$400 in Cash-Back Certificates from American Airlines

Does anyone know anything about the $400 in cash-back certificates from American Airlines for signing up with this discount merchandise site?

They give you a 30-day free trial with no obligation, but they make you enter your credit card # to sign up. I guess you can just cancel during the first 30 days with no obligation.

Anyone know if there is a catch to the $400 in free airline bucks? Sounds a little too easy....

I signed up for their service. They send me a membership number, and it does not work, I sent them four Emails, and three weeks later the number still does not work. If their service is as good as their signup, I will pass...

Looks like a no-go on this one. After what Aki and Zoomie said, I don't think I'd risk it.

$400 in cash back certificates means $100 back for a full fair ticket. that doesn't really save you anything, in fact you would end up paying more. you would be better off buying a ticket ahead of time, say 21 days and get a really good deal on it.

but if you are one of those last minute guys, then the $100 is money in your pocket cause you'll be paying full fair anyway, so why not get something back.

these programs are a pain to cancel. they make you wait for close to half an hour before anyone speaks to you. i personally don't have the patience for it. if you forget to cancel within a month you are screwed out of some money.

Just received an e-mail from these people offering $150 in utilities (since I own a few properties, we could eat that plus with what's sitting on my desk unpaid right this minute).

Also, they offer to pay the difference between their low price on just about anything and th elower price I can find. Sounds like a challege they can't win.

Anyone have anything to add on these folks?
