These types of campaigns are always somewhat questionable because the majority of signers are people that you've never heard of, but there are a few very legitimate economists on that list.
Five nobel Laureates equates to just over 10% of US economists to ever receive a Nobel prize. I find that pretty impressive personally. Hopefully it will encourage other economists to be more vocal about their perspectives on the different policies.
Over 400 independent economists signed a statement at the website Economists for Romney in support of what they call the Republican presidential candidate's "bold economic plan for America?"http://economistsforromney.com/
What doesn't impress me is the range of commentary in this thread attacking the economists that decided to take such a stand.
People with money like Romney, go figure.
Why the fuck would anyone, even a Democrat, trust an economist that was poor?
How can they endorse Romney's plan when Mitt won't give any details?
Obama can not even get a budget put together. He knows how to spend money, but he does not know how to say no unless it is something a republican wants.
It is time to tare up the credit cards.
lmao It's time to go back to Elementary School.
BTW, you are coming off as an ass that doesn't much address the substance of any topic, but instead wastes spewage on pointing out typos, rendering gratuitous insults and such.
If you care so much about substance, why do you keep avoiding the legitimate arguments against the significance of this endorsement?
I do not know who Pr0d1gy has endorsed, but I doubt I would consider it significant in any way.
I am sure there would be legitimate arguments to be made against his endorsement, but perhaps he should make himself clearer on what that is first.

None of this matters. We have two choices and both have no idea what we need and consequently propose non-solutions. It's just a matter of who sucks less. Obama is either psychologically tied to The Party Line of programs as solutions or not all that bright. Romney wants no strings attached to tax relief when it's self evident that THE motivation of corporations is not to the benefit of the citizen at large but to maximize profits. Since no one has bothered to increase boardroom accountability or tackle outsourcing it will free up money to send to cheap labor overseas. The later is crony capitalism and the former clueless. But thats what we asked for, a duopoly of long outdated policies and greed with a huge helping of hubris.
You have great taste in coffee PJABBER! I order from Batdorf's about every month, and prefer their Sumatra roast. I lived in Olympia when Dancing Goats opened on 4th ave, and although the shop was filled with "greener" they had a great idea. Then when Batdorf opened on Capitol Way downtown, that became my hangout
Ahem. Sorry to derail the thread![]()
Economists for Romney is an independent, voluntary association of economists who support Governor Romneys economic plan for America. Economists for Romney is not an official arm of the 2012 Mitt Romney campaign, nor does it accept dues, fees, donations, or contributions.
Still looking for that independent "Economists for Obama" group.
Still looking...
Still looking...
:hmm:
If you think that's an independent group, you're dumber that I thought possible.
But, sadly I know your not dumb, just a stooge.
