What is your current GPU? I dont want to tell you to get a core i5-2500k when you have an Nvidia 8800GT or something xD

Well i wouldnt really feel comfortable recommending a high end CPU/motherboard at this point because anything new will be bottle necked by your GPU by a HUGE extent.

Here is what I would do:

Case
GPU
RAM
Motherboard
CPU

Total $414.95

Now i know you really want that sexy as shit white slick looking case, HOWEVER it is NOT worth $100 of your money right now, i would rather be able to play some games at high settings with a decent CPU and have my friends laugh at my shitty case then show my friends how bad ass my white shiny new case is but embarrass my self with the graphics.

Or if you can mess with rebates this GPU is better (but has a higher initial cost)

I dunno, whats wrong with upgrading the CPU+Mobo+ram to a i5 set up while you wait to upgrade your GPU? Assuming he does it within the next year or so (hopefully when 28 nm comes out), I still think the CPU overkill isn't so bad.

I agree with this, though I would swap the GPU to a GTX 460 1GB. Less expensive (AR) and a good bit faster.
