there were more laughs in knocked up, but they were weaker laughs. 40 year old definitely had scenes where I could not stop laughing

Knocked Up by far, even though 40 Year Old Virgin was hilarious. I get a feeling that Superbad will be funnier than both though. And The Ten may surpass that.

I love both movies, but I think Knocked Up is better - I'll have to watch it 6 or 7 more times to know for sure though. I thought it was consistently funny, whereas 40-year-old virgin has some dry spots.

I also thought it was actually a good movie, rather than some bare bones plot that's just an excuse to make a 90 minute fart joke (i.e. most comedies) - that's not to say that approach is necessarily bad, but it was nice to have some substance for a change.

The preview for The Ten is hilarious. And where did this movie come from anyway? It opens today and I didn't even know about it until a couple of days ago.
