Amazon has this for under $1100.

Is this a good TV for the price? I am looking to replace my 32" 768p LCD and looking for opinions. I can't afford to spend much more than $1000. Definitely don't want a DLP TV. Flat panel LCD or Plasma only.

Its a very nice TV, but personally I wouldn't buy from the store you linked ... note that the seller isn't actually Amazon but some 3rd-party vender called Electronics Express.

For example Circuit City has that screen available currently for $1299 & with a 10% off coupon (available on e-bay) would end up being about $1169.00 before tax with either in-store pickup or free delivery ... more importantly if you have any troubls you can take it right back to the store for an exchange or refund.

Electronic Express seems to have some good feedback on amazon (4.7 stars from 7000+ buyers in the past year). They quote $1.25 per lb for shipping, but there is supposedly a free shipping rebate (you'd have to search more for details... I don't feel like it). My samsung 4065T had a ship weight of around 75lbs even though the TV itself is considerably lighter (just something to think about if that rebate isn't instant and you have to outlay cash).

It's definitely a good set at that price (really a good LCD at any price). It has most of the cool features besides 120hz tech... and I'm sure it will last you a while. Color and contrast on that set is definitely better than the "bargin" sets that you will get for $1k in the 40-42" range (it was one of the sets I was considering before I bought my samsung... but it was actually priced about 2 bills higher than the sammy at the time).

Note that this set is now available from J&R Music & Computer world which is a merchant I've dealt with many times for $999 + shipping ... from a known reliable vender at that price its a pretty damn nice deal ... the only worry is that if you have a problem & need to return it, you'll have a headache on your hands.
