Well you'd need to qualify that statement to what you mean. Sadly, most that have to me are painting a picture that they are somehow above all law and others are subject to more than the law.

Well I would not be happy to see 30 dead young people for stealing snacks but it would be awesome if caning was allowed, say 4 strokes for everyone and 10 strokes if caught again, if nothing else they would not get off Scot free..

They weren't just stealing snacks, they were eroding the rule of law.

I feel 'ya, the complete breakdown of any civility is really disturbing but I can't see death as an appropriate punishment for some Doritos and red bulls but if an armed store owner started shooting, oh well, hope his aim is good..
 
I think it's scary people are sort of defending this. Petty theft is still theft, but organizing a mob to do it is a whole new level.

The main problem that is happening is as soon as someone resists or tries to stop, there are enough in the group that will attack back. Then the whole mob frenzy happens.

It is recommended that store clerks seeks shelther during these events and not get involved.
 
It'd be awesome if the store had a remote door lock. Lock all those mf'ers inside while they wait for the cops to arrive. The store would probably get wrecked but every single one of them would be caught and probably have to pay for all of the damages.

I'm pretty sure not a single one of them has a job outside of "do you want fries with that". What are they going to pay back with; welfare, foodstamps, ...

If they can't pay it now, then they can pay it in the future or with punishment or their parents can pay.

IMHO we need to go back to the time where the parents were held accountable for their kids up to the point they served the sentence.

i believe the store will get charge with something like "illegally holding them against their will".

Ha that is what I was thinking to. I bet more stores will get that if this happens more.
Not hard to do and install some cameras near the door to get the faces of those that get away before the cops get there.
 
This isnt new. In the late 1990s I worked at a computer store and a group of people robbed us. 10-12 of them came into the store, some would run interference by occupying all of the workers asking questions while the others took items and laptops off the shelf. The only difference is those people were a tight group of experienced thieves. These idiots look like a facebook group meeting to rob a place and there are a lot more of them.
