In for SimCity 4 Deluxe for $11.97. Was waiting for it to go on sale on Steam but that hasn't happened yet.

How good is this version? I used to love the older ones(SimCity 2000 I think) and had been thinking about picking this up.

someone tell me who the 5 characters are in the ad?

from left to right:
Faith from Mirror's Edge
Generic soldier art from Bad Company 2
No idea... looks like a Sims thing
lady cop from All Point Bullitin (I think)
main guy from Dead Space

edit: I did that from memory, but if you look below the characters all the game boxes are there too which show 4 out of the 5 of em right on the box. Dead Space doesn't have the guy on the box but I know that's right.

Kinda weird this ain't on slickdeals, if I hadn't jumped in this forum I woulda missed it.

In for $18 on BF BC2 🙂

Placed an order and was greeted by "Thank you for your order. Your order is being processed and you will be notified of the result shortly." It was half an hour ago.

How quickly does EA provide the download link? I like how fast Steam operates in this regard.

I purchased at around 10PM and received an email at around 5AM that the purchase was successful and I could download it.

This has been brought up many times. You can safely ignore this message. There are currently no time limits in place. People are still downloading purchases they made many years ago.

And, on the other hand, you can Google for instructions on where to find the downloaded apps, if you wish to back them up to a DVD or something.

While you may wish to ignore this message, this is their way of saying they don't have to do anything for you after one year is up.

Slimy tactic to cover their rear ends, and they don't deserve $$$ when they play those kind of games. There are better places to buy games from that don't use these tactics.

I've tried to buy BF:BC2 on the EA store a few times tonight... in all cases I get "We are unable to process your order. Please verify your information and try again." Guess I'll give it a shot tomorrow...

Thanks!

If you buy the digital download, can you burn a copy for back up?

I've been trying to buy BF:BC2 all weekend now. Just keep getting the "unable to process your order" error. Have an open ticket with EA support, but there's no way they're going to fix it for me before the sale ends after tonight. Oh well, guess I'll have to hold off for a steam sale.

Might try making a different EA account or just using a whole different browser.

Then again I ordered mine 24 hours ago, immediately got a confirmation email and it still says
"Order History
No orders were found " when I visit the EA store again.

This is why I really wanted to avoid buying from EA 😛 - They must realize why so many people hate them by now...

But $19!...$19! I may never get to actually play the game but...$19!
