Just called them, very friendly over the phone, i know some have put this in the old threads of the hard drive and zip combo, but just posting again to tell everyone.

I just spoke with a CSR at Staples, and he told me that they were "out of stock" on the Maxtor, and wouldn't be getting any more. If you check the site for the Maxtor drive, however, it still says it ships in "1 day." If anyone has any better luck with this, please let us know.

the zip drive was on the front page of their ad...... dunno if it's still in the ad since they change on Sundays, right? I got the same deal last night, also got the ATA100 card......... all for just $112..... amazing deal, the manage stacked a $40 and a $25 off coupon...... much better than I thought I'd get....

I don't see what the CSRs are saying they're out of stock...2 friends of mine just ordered the drives online...they just did a 40 off 150, not the zip deal, but they were in stock and did ship in one day...and both were 45 gig drives in the 40 gig boxes. I'm from Ames, IA, so I don't know if they're just in stock around here or what, but anyway...

Last week I tried to order the Maxtor 40GB 7200rpm (item 428386 pricematched to OfficeDepot's $119.95 price) from Staples, but they were out of stock in my area, so my CSR, Melinda, said she would call me back once they came back in stock.

I just received a voicemail 1 hour ago saying that the item was back in stock and that Melinda setup an order for me -- I just needed to give payment info.

I called up Staples and the CSR, Jason, let me use the Zip 100 USB coupon since I originally ordered last week, and I also used a $25 off $100 coupon.

So my total:
