lol, cci blazer ammo.

Those who shoot 10mm shoot real ammo - doubletap, buffalo bore, or elite ammunition. Stuff that is loaded how it is supposed to be - at 41magnum to 44magnum ballistics.

It costs more because it is superior in every way. You are comparing apples and oranges.

Those who really shoot reload their own and trust no others.

Exactly, but finding 10mm brass right now is pretty much buying loaded ammo and keeping the once fired brass.

I wish it was as easy to find as .308 brass is. I just picked up 4,000 pieces of once fired .308 from a local guy on craigslist for $200. Wish I can find the same kind of deal for 10mm brass.

.40 Short & Weak is a decent round, but it is based on a real cartridge so a little bit of greatness had to rub off.

10mm auto > *

DEZERT EEGLES, FUQ YEA!

seriously...don't go 10mm except for bragging rights. May as well get a .500 hunting pistol at that point.

9mm is fine OP...focus on getting better ammo.

Chances are you will never need it, chances are when you do it will be overkill.

If going to concealed carry ever, your body frame really determines what you can get away with. A big dude can pack a 1911 easy. A small dude it will be obvious.

Anything that uses gun powder to fire a projectile is enough for the purpose of people that have concealed carry. The times that it would be needed are not against someone wearing a vest or 20 yards away.

Get something you can pull and fire accurately and quickly at distances of 3-4 yards as that is the most likely scenario. In real life situations you are not going to have time to line up sights, or aim, most likely it will be pull point and shoot.

I chose cci blazer because it is usually the cheapest ammo you can find. i was going by price only.

and since you mention those other brands which are probably twice the cost of the cci blazer, my point still stands.

If it's the only legal option in a given area then I wouldn't see it as such. If concealed carry is an option then yeah, kinda douchey.

That said, if you're a criminal are you going to fuck with the guy with a 1911 on his hip? :awe:

Of course you are. You ensure you shoot him in the face first.

I picked up one of these Smiths a few months ago:

http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F1SW5906&groupid=3

They're cheap, extremely accurate, and well made. If you want a 9mm to get back into shooting with, you could do much worse. Plus they look better in person (at least mine did). You're not going to conceal it and it's got some heft to it, but that's a good thing for managed recoil.

Buying guns from aim surplus was a pita for me. They wouldn't accept an order from me, and then ship it to my ffl who had his license kn file with them. The order had to go through his account, and it was such a pain compared to buds gunshop. They do have some nice deals though, especially on ammo...if only the shipping wasn't sk expensive...

Well it was probably listed as FFL dealer sale only.

but if i buy it, and ship it to the ffl...its the same thing as me paying the ffl to buy it and ship it to them. it just saves me a trip to the store.

in your mind it is, in reality not so. The FFL dealer is then 100% responsible to aimsurplus.

They don't want to be involved with middle men.

I dont have time for that shit.

'those who really shoot' LOL.

Reloading takes time, I would waste my time alloted for shooting for like, 6 months, loading enough ammo to go shoot once

way easier to stop by wallyworld and get 100packs of winchester target loads for 23 bucks.

If I want to get crazy Ill order a few 1000rnd boxes with my shooting buddies

I'm not a fan of .40 as I find the shot impulse to be a bit too sharp, making followup shots difficult. Get a medium frame 9mm like a Glock 19 and when you've mastered that, consider moving up to a stronger caliber.

Oh, and to the person that said that Glock .40s are chunky, they are all but externally identical to Glock 9mms.

You must think reloading takes forever.

Even on a single stage press it goes pretty quickly once you get a rhythm down. On my Dillon, you can really go crazy. A couple of years ago I loaded up 11,000 5.56 rounds in one day with a load I had already developed. I ended up with ammo superior to any factory ammo for several cents a round cheaper. Still shooting that ammo too, saving all the brass to load it all up again.

I don't have a shellplate for .38/.357 magnum for my Dillon right now, but even on my single stage I was able to crank out this 1,000 round batch in two days (prepping brass on my lunch breaks and loading in the evening).

I have a few hours at the range about every other month.

I do save my brass incase I decide to start

plus my garage space is getting tight :(

It certainly takes longer than buying ammo when I am already at the store though :p

QFT...makes no sense for standard ammo. If you have something exotic then sure.

But then that dude talks about 10mm as his recommendation.

qft. i would rather pay the 10cents a round more and buy factory loads from the store. I have way more important things to do then sit there and load ammo, plus i dont have space.
