as you know Seti startet in March 1999, what i would know, who or which cruncher has a four year anniversary

i startet in Oktober 1999

I thought SETI started in April 1999 ,& I know the 'TA Romulans' account is from that era (though its now inactive & doesn't show up).

NWM has that account ,now where is he? 😉

I didn't know that they started on the 1st March 1999!
Wierd that there is only 1 other date in March (25th) with just 1 other user.

I seem to remember that previoulsy April 4th was the 1st date

I kind of remember they started out carefully, I had signed up on the mailing list months before and joined up as soon as they let me know I could.
This is of course a 4 year old memory of the way things went, but that's kind of what I remembered.
I was a bit pissed at them that they hadn't let me know as soon as it started, as I thought that was what the list was for. 😉

Well, SETI was released 13. May 1999, with official launch 17. May 1999.

Earlier there was a beta-test, but to say they started then is like saying BOINC/Astropulse was started 9. December 2002... 😉
Oh, and the oldest beta-tester I know of started 13.02.1999, has currently 29 results, and uses 216 hours per result....

My oldest account is from 22. Januar 2000, so I'm young. 🙂

I started bavk in 99 also, with that screen saver when it first came out. My PC sucked then so I stopped after about 6 months. I think I did like 3 wu's a week! LOL. Then once I came here I got the itch again and started back with a new account on Tue Jul 24 06:41:09 2001. Wished I would have stayed with it the full time though.

I 1st started crunching with a Cel 366@550 (which was pretty hot then😉) ,with v1.06 GUI optimised I got WU times of about 10.5hrs (which ironically is how long it takes with v3.03 CLi!).With v2.0 it went down to about 8.3hrs🙂
