how about a dating site where you friend people and they can recommend friends on their friends list who they think you should date.

I think most people meet dates through work and friends.

I find eharmony full of people with completely unrealistic expectations. Look at this match I got this morning. This person is 42YO, 1 kid, has one picture up and is not attractive at all. She wrote this in her about me section:

What I'm Looking for:

I'm not sure. I've been wrong before.

Non-negotiables:

You must understand and appreciate what it's like being around a young child and the lifestyle/challenge that being a single parent brings.
You must be honest to a fault
You must be faithful
You must be funny and smart
You must be a good communicator
You must be a non-smoker
You like to read (not just magazines or work related material)
We must have physical chemistry
You must believe in a higher something (don't really care what it is as long as it's not yourself or something really freaky like aliens, etc)
You are a liberal (but not a communist)

Ok, if you're still reading....make your move!

I found Match horrible. I stopped using it after a couple of months and no responses. I think it's just a repository of profiles which aren't active. EH is pretty bad. Most people seem not to respond. I have a feeling people think they are going to find their knight in shining armor there. Chemistry is OK but has been bad with sending profiles lately. Plus I would say half of the profiles I get are scam artists spammers. I still don't know why the can't filter them out. OKcupid is free so there's nothing to lose there except some time.

straight people really need their own version of something like manhunt or adam4adam. they're basically sites where gay men looking for sex can find other gay men looking for sex (or fapping material if you're into headless nude pictures).

as far as the OP goes... one feature that I haven't seen on many dating sites is limiting your results by State. living a couple miles out of NYC, it's perpetually vexing. I always get matches with people who live in like Brooklyn or Queens because, as far as the map is concerned, they're only 3 miles away... but driving 30 miles to somewhere else in Jersey is usually faster and more convenient than driving 3 miles through Manhattan (plus city guys never have cars, and that ends up putting 100% of the transportation burden on me)

I can't believe this site actually has an option to search for shemales. For some reason I can't help but think these people are for real. They're not the "hot" shemales people jokingly post to trick their friends. These are just awful, so they're probably real.
