~3-4 years ago, my laptop got destoyed by soup being spilled over it. I was just cleaning my room and found the hard drive. Figuring what the hell, I stuck it into my new laptop and it booted! It was running Windows 2000 beta 3, I'm surprised I didn't have to whip out the Winternals password crackers on it. The password had tilda's and exclamation points in there and some numeric charaters. Anyways, I'm pulling everything down to the 120G desktop now.

Just some of the interesting things I found on the drive.
Norton Commander (do you guys even know what this is? 🙂)
A really OLD copy of my resume!
My 1998 Tax Return prepared with TurboTax.
My senior project from college!
Love-sick MP3s (brings back memories of my ex, was with her back then).
i.e. Bryan Adams-Everything I do, I do for you, Firehouse-Love of a Lifetime, Martina McBride-Valentine, etc, etc.

It's just interesting how much changes from the time you're in school and when you're out. I don't think the next 4 years should change much now that I'm out of school...

Anyone want a 4G Laptop HD?

norton commander for DOS was kick ass. in case you didnt know, they have a clone of it for linux called Midnight Commander... basically the same thing... it rocks too.

yup. when i tried out linux, that's the first thing i checked out.

funny thing is that since i've "lost" norton commander for 4 years, i've been doing things from the CLI straight up. bad thing about NC is that there is no support for long filenames.

what do you expect from an app borne in 1994. talk about the good old days.

norton commander for dos was the best little util ever.
for some reason i still have a copy of it, and don't have the heart to delete it even though i don't use it anymore.

digital time capsule 🙂
Yeah, but the only reason why it became a time capsule was because I lost my $2000+ laptop (at that time) to soup spilling all over it. I was pretty pissed. 😀
