4-year-old fatally shoots sister, wounds brother

How does the kid just "find" the gun? My dad has a BB gun for shooting pigeons and it's in the top cabinent that I can barely get to.

The 4-year-old boy was in police custody late Saturday, Richardson said.
😀 He's gonna be locked up for a long time. But could you imagine living the rest of your life knowing that you killed your sister?

The parents left a 7 year old, a 5 year old and a 4 year old home alone??? And they left a loaded, unlocked gun in the home with them???

The parents should be charged with second degree murder.

Richardson said the parents could be charged for leaving small children unattended and for leaving the gun where the children could find it.[/q[

I agree that they should be possibly charged with murder, it was their responsibility and their fault, they are totally to blame.
Although, manslaughter is more probable than murder.

Gross neglegence leading to the death of another should be second degree murder, not manslaughter. Call it "neglegent homocide." Of course, that's just my opinion.

The parents should be charged with second degree murder immediately.
Editted for further clarity.

guns don't kill people. 4 year olds kill people.

No, neglegent parents kill people. Nice try, though.

Tell me, what would you be saying if the kid had run over his siblings with a car the parents had left running? Or poisoned himself with draino?

Just because the tragedy involves a gun does not make guns "evil."

Not just your opinion, it's the law - criminally negligent homicide.

Yeah, I thought so. Though not all states have the same laws.

Ok that is just plain fsked up. First they leave the kids alone at their age?! Then they have a GUN in the house where the kids can find it or knew where it was somehow? and third.. IT WAS LOADED!??! WTF

Well, murder 2 then, I didn't know that's what it would come under, I would have thought manslaughter.

Whatever, the parents should be seriously punished for what they did.

My point, if there would be no guns in that house, no one would be shot. Easy as that.

If there were no morons in that house no one would have been shot either. Easy as well.

If there is no car in the garage you can't get into an accident.
If there is no bleach in the cupboard the baby can't drink it.
If there is no food in the fridge you can't get fat.
If there were no steps the baby wouldn't fall.
If there were no irresponsible parent those kids would be alive.
If there is no toilet paper you can't wipe your butt.
If

If
You have no point.

How useful is a gun in every-day-use? 🙂 There's my point 🙂

So everything in your house is for day-to-day use? You're saying that you use everything that is in your house every day?

Kitchen knives can kill.
Lawnmowers can kill.
Shovels can kill.
Ovens can kill.

You have no point.

Well, my grandmother defended her life with a gun against an armed intruder into her house. I would say guns are very useful when you NEED them.

P.S. Grandma won and the intruder got gut-shot and sent to prison.
