Try it!

Berkeley is having some issues with bandwidth which make uploading work units difficult during busy hours.
Once you get setup it is a good idea to use a proxy server such as Orange Kid's to keep you crunching along.
If you need any help setting up drop in the DC forum for help!

I just got a really hot deal in the DC forum! TeAm members frequently give other TeAm members first crack at their FS/FT as well as any parts they might be willing to give away!

Join the TeAm and check out the values! :D

Ok. I've been here not a long time, but a while. I joined during the last race, but 9-11 cut it short and I think i completed maybe 2 cycles on my classic athlon 750.

Now though, I have a 1800xp with 512ddr. I redownloaded the CLI client and I'm crunching as we speak. I joined team anandtech, I think...

Anyway, I was gonna log on, but I don't remember my password. Is there any way I can get it? Also, can you guys make sure I'm part of team anandtech? I don't wanna be crunching for nothing.

Edit: I just looked on the Seti homepage and looked up team anandtech. Seems like there are a bunch of teams grouped behidn the top 10. We can make the jump though! Anyway, I'm part of the team! yay!. #1760) Kelvrick 3 cycles 31 hr 18 min total cpu time.

I'm in college now, so since they're paying the electric bill, I don't mind leaving it on all night. :) Oh, adn I'll probably be able to get a couple more of my dorm buddies in on this. They don't got the fastest, but I give em food, so they better crunch.

Edit 2: How long does it take you guys to complete one? I have my SETI client priority as medium and it says I have a total tiem of 2:56. Does that mean I complete a cycle in 2 hours 56 minutes? Whoa, thats an 8 hour cut off from my old comp.

damn that's a nice setup Kelvrick.
That 1800XP is the bad boy of SETI.. It's scary how fast it crunches :)
About 3-4 hours is the average with that cpu.. Wait until 15% of the WU
has been processed for an accurate estimate.

Too bad you can't bottle electricity and sell it on the black market to
recoup on the scandalous dorm fees $$$. Gotta get your money's worth :D

Glad to have you on the TeAm.
