Oddly enough, the Federal supply system calls it an 'intrenching tool'. I tried numerous physical characteristics to find it but it was listed misspelled.

At Fort Devens, immediately upon entering the training area, there was once a sign that stated, "Speed limit strikly enforced".

I keep one in my Jeep. I've needed it a few times over the years. I buried my Thing to the frame in a redneck's yard once. Using the entrenching tool, a jack, and some bricks I was able to get myself out. Good thing rednecks have shit laying everywhere :^D
