They have this Fan controller for $12.99 plus $4.75 shipping to CA. SVC has this one for $14.99.

They also have the Black Sunbeam Rheosus for $17.99 on sale.

Directron got the Vantec Nexus NXP-201 for $22.99 shipped with UPS Ground.

Directron also got the Vantec Nexus Multifunction Panel for $33.99 shipped with UPS Ground. This one is sold at CompUSA under PCToys for $29.99.

Which one would you buy, and why? They all seem so good, but I can only have one. I thought I would share these deals with everyone.

If you find these cheaper any where else please share with us. I cannot decide which one to buy.

I got the silver sunbeam one, and its great! Too bad one of the controllers blew out though 🙁 But its no biggy, the other 3 which is all I need are working great.

i've got the black sunbeam rheobus, so here's my mini review... it looks alittle plastic-y in the pics compared to the silver one, but it looks alot better in person... knobs turn smoothly, with a click to turn it completely off. the lines painted on make it look like 0->12v is less than a 180 degree turn, but it actually turns about 310 degrees so you can control the speed a little more precise. the led's are very bright blue, that change to red when you go below 5v (you can also take the led's out and reverse it so its blue: 0-5 and red: 5-12). it comes with 2 4pin to 3pin adapters so you can hook up 4 pin fans to the rheobus. this is also the easiest way to hook up more than one fan to a single control knob if you dont have 3pin Y adapters but already have some 3->4pin adapters that you can daisy chain. it also comes with a 3pin female to 2 pin female adapter that i don't know what is supposed to be used for (nothbridge fan maybe?).

i think the 1st vantec one looks a little nicer, but it only goes down to 7v and doesnt have a 2 color led. also, the sunbeam DOES fit behind a front panel door (chenming xpider in my case (pun!😛)), whereas i heard the vantec one wont fit all the way...

I have the Antec SKL3700AMB and it has the door in front of it. I am debating as to whether which one of these will fit in so I can close the door.
Anyone knows?
Thanks.

The knobs on my silver Sunbeam stick out ~13mm... the knob itself is exactly 10mm deep, but there's approx 2.7mm between the back of the knob and the housing. It looks like the shaft could be pushed 1-2 mm further back into the housing by loosening the mounting nut and adding a washer (not included) to the back.

I'm not 100% sure but think the Sunbeam changed from red to blue around 7V, not 5V. I would've preferred it had finer adjustment over a narrower voltage range though, like if the full sweep of the dial varied it between 5V and 11V... since most all fans won't spin up under 5V, and if you're gonna run 'em at near 12V there isn't much point to the controller in the first place. Still it is functional as-is.

Edit: Checked with DMM, the LEDs on the Sunbeam change from red to blue at ~7.35V.

I am wondering if I should get the first one since it's the cheapest with 20W per channel?
Anyone got any experience with it?
Thanks.

Not to crap on this thread, but SVC.COM has the same things for the same or close to the same price.

Controller with 3 color LED(Red, Amber, Blue) for $14.99 (I know it's higher).

sunbeam controller Black or Silver for $17.00

Vantec NXP-201 controller for $21.99

Vantec Nexus Multifunction controller for $31.99

Personally, I have had good luck/experience with SVC. I know other have not (don't flame me for this). I ordered 2 UV cold cathodes, and they went to a different inverter (it was not stated on thier site. I called them and they corrected the site amd sent me FREE OF CHARGE the inverter for the Cathodes. That's Great Customer Service.

Just got the Sunbeam silver (SVC) and mounted it in a 4U rackmount with great results. The LED's are as bright as they say so you may want to have a door to cover them in a low room lighting situation.

xpcgear.com shipping is higher and make the final price the same as the one at Xoxide.com
SVC is a good company but Xoxide is pretty good too. Well the items at SVC are a little higher or the same as Directron but Directron is offering free shipping. SVC charges me tax.

So which one?
I'm also interested 🙂

Bad_Dude, which one will you get?

I'm leaning towards:
Black Sunbeam Rheobus & some black round cables from SVC (since they will combine shipping cost)

I will probably go with the cheap one for $12.99. It's not b/c it's cheap but b/c no one will see my computer and plus a controller is a controller.
What do you guys think?

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about picking up one of these.
