Not a terrible deal here:

Overstock.Com Linky

It's all Netgear stuff
4 10/100 NICS
1 4 port hub
4 25 foot cables

47.00 w/o shipping
2.95 for ground shipping

It's not a terrible deal going by prices back when I was looking around for NICS and hubs - Note they're factory reconditioned and I've not looked for them recently so I'm not sure how these prices really compare.

In addition there are apparently 5$ off 25$ coupons for first time customers - and there is a 5$ off 50$ coupon for all customers - these might be stackable (if you add something for 3$ more you might be able to take advantage of both. This might drop the price a bit more.

Netgear network starter kit for $23.95

There is a free shipping code.

Buy 2 and you will get

2 4-port 10Base-T Ethernet hubs (model EN104TP) vs 1 4-port hub at overstock

4 network interface cards (model FA310)

4 25-foot network cables

all for $47.90. ( This is not RB)

*FYI, FA310 NIC is much better than crappy FA311

Just to bring it to everybody's attention...... the hubs in this deal are slower than the hubs in the original deal.

Yeah... the hubs in the Gateway offer are 10-mbps only while the hubs in the Overstork deal are 10/100... although the NICs from both deals are 10/100s.

However...

For a home network, sharing printers and Intennet connections, you'd never know the difference.

And even if you run a 10/100 network, the Gateway offer is still a good deal. Two 10/100 NICs and two 25' CAT5 cables for $23.95, and you have the hub left over for backup/stand-in use.

Thanks, just picked up the Gateway deal. I just needed a NIC, not a hub or anything, but it's nice to have them in case I expand in the future. The only things that would go onto a hub anyways would be an XBOX, and my PS2 should I ever choose to use them
