4 monitors on SLI boards?

Hello. Is it possible to run 4 monitors on the new SLI boards? I am assuming you can run both PCI-E cards independently in non-SLI mode?[

This is good news. I assume then both cards will be running at x16 (non-SLI) as apposed to x8 ( SLI mode)?

No, it still works at x8, but it doesn?t matter since there isn?t a video card out there that can come close to saturating 8 PCI-E lanes.

ANd plus there is only 24 PCI-E lanes. So using both at the same time would leave no lanes available for other PCI-E devices.

hmm, very curious... Ok here's another question, Can I have 2 different kinds of video cards running?

You might want to read this review: SLI Review

It has a section at the end where they stick in a Nvidia card and a ATI card.
