4 meg email......help

i need to send a 4 meg email.......where can i do this? msn=no hotmail=no yahoo=no i tried 3 others ...darn

Doesn't your ISP offer POP3 e-mail accounts? If so, use an e-mail client like Outlook Express or Eudora both are free.

ugh, i have to call my isp, or somethin i never used pop 3 , stupid me

First of all I would research and download an e-mail client or your PC probably already has Outlook Express or Netscape e-mail already installed. Call your ISP and get all the settings then you can send that huge 4MB e-mail with no problems (depending on your ISP's e-mail size limit).

Otherwise consisder FTP, ICQ, AIM, MSN, Bearshare, Morpheus some other direct means to transfer the e-mail.

You might try zipping it first -- lotsa files will compress a bunch. In my work (industrial controls), I send lotsa big files that compress down to 1/100th of the original size or even better.

trouble is..even if you COULD send an e-mail with that large and attachment, most ISP's will not let the person you're sending it to RECEIVE an e-mail that large.

isn't ftp or aol /icq transfer an option?

you could just use winrar and break it into smaller libraries and send multiple e-mails w/ the smaller parts attached.

You do what mp3 websites do. You break the file(s) down into smaller ones and upload them to a free host. Rename them to something such as .gif or .jpg or even .htm(l) and tell the recipient to rename them back.

You could use winrar to specify the file sizes to make.

Why not just let the other person upload it through Morpheus or something?

You can also do a file transfer through AIM. If you had AOL and were sending it to another memeber it could up to 16 mb and go through.

Why is everybody talking about POP? Sending and email is SMTP. Also most ISPs will easily accept a 4 meg attachment, the average limit is 5 or 10 megs.
