The cause is most likely an engine failure. One of the passengers described that when the pilot pulled up the nose again the engines roared (so he tried to get airborne again), but they just kept falling.

If they had flown a few hundred feet further they would have landed on a busy road, that would have caused a lot more problems.

I always note a non-political form of 'media bias' is how much plan crashes make the news with their relatively few casualties while thousands of car crashes don't.

It illustrates the 'bright shiny object' bias of the news. It has an inherent 'bias' in the way that it covers anything 'unusual' much more than 'normal' things with a bigger impact.

For a political impact, this can make it harder to suggest change for uncovered issues.

This isn't a new point by any means, but one worth reminding.
