In the Sunday ads, they have a Super Bowl offer of saving $5 instantly when you buy (4) 12-pack of Pepsi product and (4) 9.5 ounce or larger Frito-Lay products.

It just so happens, 12-packs are on sale 4 for $10 and 13oz Frito-Lay products are 4 for $6. Now, those sales may be regional and not nationwide, check your local ad @ http://www.kroger.com/savings.htm

So, your grand total at checkout should be $11. $11 is not too shabby for all this junk food however, it gets even better...

This purchase qualifies for the newest Pepsi/Frito-Lay mail-in rebate. These forms can be found on Pepsi displays, soda isle and probably somewhere online but I haven't found it. Be careful to get the right rebate... there are multiple kinds that involve different combinations of purchase.

Grand total after rebate... $1. Nothing better than almost free Mountain Dew and Doritos. The computer nerds diet of choice! :p

You might also have to pay a deposit of .05-.10c each can, depending where you live. Still a very tasty deal. :)

They bought Fred Meyer's (West Coast) if I remember correctly, so the deal might apply there as well.

Might also want to check Ralph's in that case since Kroger operates them too.

I don't know what Ralph's is, but do they carry Kroger brand products? The reason I was thinking it might apply at Fred Meyer's is the fact that since they were purchased they now carry Kroger brand stuff.

In MI, this deal would be $4.80 more, but you get it back when you take the cans back. no big deal.

There is no coupon. The discount should automatically be applied. Sorry for not clearly explaining it.

ah.. it must be a regional thing then.. there is no mention of such a promotion in the ad for my local store.

Well, I just checked my local Fred Meyer ad online and it does state "Your First 4 - With this Coupon" so it looks like at least I'll need the $5 coupon to get the so-called "instant savings".
Doesn't bother me any, as there are usually plenty of ads on display right when you walk in so I can rip out a coupon there.
Also, my 4pack of Pepsi will be $12.. :(
