I have read a lot about 4.1 speaker systems and there are the Z560, Klipsh promedia 4.1, BA 4800, etc....

But to me, my grandpa has the Klipsh promedia 4.1, I think it's great but when cranked up a little, it gets too loud for me, the z560 were being compare with the klipsh and I think that it is too loud too. What I am asking is, are there any other 4.1 system that are less "powerful"? I am thinking of the creative inspire 4.1 4400, how is that? Thanks

geeezzzzz... if the speakers are too loud you can turn them down... you can turn the bass down a bit too. It kind of cracks me up that your grandpa is more rockin than you are, go grandpa go!

BTW, you'd be nuts to spend more than $75 on any "lower end" 4.1 solution seeing as you can get the Z560's which are the best bang for the buck, shipped, at about $135.

The Logitech z-540's aren't bad... Should be under $80 and possibly down under $50 somewhere.

I'm using Creative Labs Inspire 4.1 4400 Set w/ a SB Audigy. I am not an audiophile, but I think they were worth every penny of the $50 I paid for em a few months ago. They are relatively low powered, but can crank out plenty of sound for my ears before they start to distort.

I think they'd be a good choice for you.

I think you would like Cambridge SoundWorks FPS1000...I have those speakers(maybe an older model) but I love them almost as much as my klipsch 5.1s....only reason I got the klipsch is because they can get alot louder, otherwise for the money i like the fps1000's better.
