4.1 sound through Winamp

I have some Z560s and I used to listen to Winamp in 4.1 through my Sound Blaster Live Value. I just got a P4S333 with the C-media 6 channel sound card, but I can't get the rear speakers to work in winamp. I have the speaker setup in windows to quadrophonic, and they do work in games. Is there a plugin or something for Winamp to enable 4 channel stereo? Thanks
 
This has nothing to do with winamp I wouldn't think.

Its the sound card not outputting Wave type data to rear out as well as front out.
Try setting the speakers to stereo output, meaning so the speakers think that they are running off of a stereo card,
not a 4.1 card. that will get sound out of all four speakers.

As for the aurgument that it would not be 4.1 sound, unless you have a 4.1 encoded MP3, which are few and far between,
it would still be stereo.

Now DVDs are another thing, do you get 4.1 from your dvd software?

that would help diagnose alot.

Hope i've been just a little more clear than I have confusing.
