3TB drive

I hate windows, I hate windows!!

I always run into this issue with formatting and adding, extended volume drives

I had a 3TB external seagate drive, and I removed the drive from the housing to add a new aluminum housing (done this several times before without an issue)

this time it when I installed the drive in the new case, the drive went FUBAR.

split my 3TB drive into 3 volumes, and only 1 being read, only data readable was on the one volume.

Now I am trying to format all 3TB again, and it it as a single volume.

windows is not letting me do this!!!, and neither is seagate disk wizard????

How can I format ALL 3TB and add it as 1 VOLUME?????

simple task and yet it is always so!!!! Difficult!!!

start,control panel, administrative tools,computer management
On the side click Storage then disk management.

It will be there where you can fully admin your 3tb drive.

🙂

Make sure you use an account that has admin rights.

If you are trying to add a 3TB drive to a USB-connected enclosure yourself, read the fine print: Many of the bare enclosures say they support 3TB, but not all of them do.
