3TB Barracuda = $90

Wow, these won't last long. Soooo tempted to buy another 3TB for the server.

Repaired? I could care less about the drive. I'd just want my data. No plan covers data recovery. The drive is replaceable and expendable.

I'm just the opposite - do backups so won't need data recovery.
I just want the drive replaced ... it's not like they will "repair" it

Nice price. I've already spent close to 1k on building up my new PC. 3TB would sure reduce my hard drive count though (2TB-3TB for 6 drives). So broke, sigh...

BALLS

I recently caved and just bought 2 2TB drives for my NAS when I couldn't find the 3TB drives. I currently just mirror one to the other in case of a single failure.

Hells bells, how can anyone resist $0.03/GB?!! This is ahead of preflood prices! Everyone should be quickly rethinking their storage array (both internal and external) and set some sata ports free in the process. Do so before this drive bounces back up near $150.

Are there any problems to using their DiscWizard software with a USB 2.0 interface on a laptop? Or should I just wait for a sale on a 2 Tb drive.

Nice! Thanks OP! Was thinking the $99 Costco deal was good but this is even better (was going to remove the drives from the enclosure anyhow). Ordered from NE because Amazon would only let me buy 1 (-:

In for 1. I need a new back up drive. The ones I have now are more than 5 years old and we all know what that means.
