3rd xbox died

its insane how many different threads we have about this. we need like an official xbox death thread. or something.
 
two dead was my max...1st one died after about 8 months...second one was only built a month ago...died 5 days after purchase... I gave in and got a PS3. Right now, I'm thrilled with it.
 
Yes, RRoD. It was my second launch unit.

First, one of the two launch units i had died. This was about 6 months ago.

1 month after that the replacement died.

Now this, my other original, died.

I bought a PS3. I like it, as a system, much better, but the games are not there. Ratchet is fun, and I want to play uncharted, but looking at this coming years games i'm most excited about Alan Wake and Fable 2 and so i must keep the xbox even though i would love to boycott the system at this point.

At least its consistent with failures. You purchased both 360s prior to the beginning of this past summer, they were both possible to RRoD on you.
