I ran 3dmarks advantage.. ran it plenty of times in the past, my cpu score has never been this high... i'm curious to what others are getting (Only can compare to the "fastest" system on there)

Your post made me run 3D Mark Vantage for the first time and I only come up with with the configuration in my signature? Something can't be right?

Score P10267
CPU Score 24398
Graphics Score 8606

I posted up on the evga boards as well... it appears that physx inflates cpu scores that is why they are high. I knew there had to be a catch ... I must have had it disabled in the past. It would also explain why yours appears to be lower

According to their database i am still awfully low and I doublechecked to see if my cpu was somehow throttling and it doesn't appear to be. Your info explains it! Thanks!

If you use an nvidia GPU that supports Physx, then the CPU score goes up drastically in Vantage. If you want to see your real CPU score, disable Physx acceleration in Nvidia Control panel first.

I think it was a bad decision to incorporate Physx in the CPU score since physx only matters in a few games. Or, 3DMark should have used some physics software that also runs on ATI GPUs.

I stopped playing 3dmark a while ago since it had very little remaining correlation to actual performance. My q6600 system with g92 SLI @ 3.6 greatly outscored my e8400 system @ 4.3 with 4850 SLI but in real world gaming the e8400 spanked it......

Where does the marketing stop and reality begin.

the only thing i really use it for is to test changes I made on my system. It's good when i am mucking around with overclocking and such.
